Now, this is four Spaniards we have (Josemi, Nunez, Xabi Alosno and Garcia). Now, this MUST be Rafa's plan:
To launch a Thunderbirds styley operation, but Scouse-style. So Thunderbird 1 (josemi) drives a stolen Beamer, Thunderbird 2 (Xabi Alonso)a stolen pick-up truck, Thunderbird 3 (Nunez) a stolen fizzy-pop rocket, Thunderbird 4 (Luis Garcia) a Maccie D's stolen toy from a Happy Heal.
Now we need a Thunderbird 5 to send up to the top of the Hall and sit on the Liver bird with a pair of stolen binoculars and a tricycle as a getaway vehicle. I am suggesting Raul do this, because he's obviously not going to play for Real next year, not with Owen and Woodgate both vying for striking berths (Woodgate's a damn good striker, that's why Madrid want him).
So if Rafa sees someone not-quite Spanish enough trying to play for Liverpool (case example: Danny Murphy) he sends out Thunderbird 1 which runs him over and dumps the remains in Charlton.
That's my theory, anyway.

Whereas Woodgate was so loyal to Newcastle?
his own fault really, he shuoldnt have shown he wanted to go so much, then real would have given him a bigger wage to try to convince him.
Woodgate can play anywhere if they need a DMC. But I'd prefer to see him on the left-wing, he's got an inch-perfect cross.

wait till he signs don't get to confident. Real Madrid have already shown they want a DMC and have been looking at Alonso for a ot longer than liverpool. Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to hijack the deal late on.
He's all signed and stuff, just hasn't arrived to pose with his shirt and tell the world how he's always dreamed of playing for Liverpool.
