Is it true that Invites have been stopped given out?

Agreed

I would be, but the level of spam is unbelievable. Even with the filters enabled, too much gets through.
I've recently got a UK2.net account and haven't had any spam at all yet.

To late I'm afraid, I gave it back to the mod who issued it to me. I thought it better to let someone else use it that waste it.

That was a possibility that I didn't think off (but a good one), but my hotmail one is just my name, easy to remember.

Yahoo doesn't appear any better than Hotmail to me. I had an account with Yahoo for a while, but let it die. I recently logged back in to fetch an email someone sent there, and it didn't seem all that grand.

A decent username?
I was lucky to get a good 5 letter hotmail address with no numbers, but Gmail has given me a great username.
It's a song, it's my name...
