"I've decided I like Vanilla Sky"

This has required much deliberation, and I'm not sure why. It could be because it's one of those films you're supposed to hate for various reasons, including Tom Cruise, Cameron Crowe, Hollywood remake e.t.c

But I can't help liking it. Especially the Jason Lee bits.

Don't know why I felt it neccesary to tell you guys. Maybe it's because I'm bored and I've read every other thread and as a result I -really- don't care if HMV has a gold special edition Star Wars boxset.

I really like this movie. I just like movies where you can't tell what is going on. I would like to see the original though.

I bought Vanilla Sky for my mate a year ago for his b'day, watched it expecting it to be pants but ending up thinking it was a pretty decent stab at an unusual film, Diaz is pretty old looking now I rekon!

I've seen both, and it's just damn impressive that they managed to shut down a 24/7 city like New York. I mean, all you have to do in Madrid is tell Raul to get off the streets and ring the siesta bell an hour early.

It was a good movie. however i will admit i didnt get it the first time i watched it. However after a couple of times. I realised it was a good film. Soundtrack is great aswell

The main reason you enjoy it is because the original script is so good it's hard to muck it up.

I have both this and Abre Los Ojos on DVD and, to be honest, I prefer the original, from the performances to the atmosphere. Somehow, the scenes in empty Madrid are more shocking than those in New York (was it New York?).

Soundtrack's great.

See? There it is. He jumps off the building and you sit back and say "..Oh."

Then you can't think of a reason to dislike it. I reckon it's because it's got one of the best openings to a movie ever. And Jason Lee in film-boy quote mode.

He's a genius.

Diaz really hasn't got impressive jugs either, flat as a pancake I think is the term.

I liked Vanilla Sky, not sure why but I did.
