Take a look at ukleads.com, go on. http://ukleads.com/
There are all kinds of fancy pieces of wire available, but do many people ever review keyboard leads, mouse extender cables or printer cables? No. We get plenty of game reviews, sure. Graphics cards get a look in, monitors, dvds and even RAM may get reviewed. But what about all the UKLeads.com products?
I propose an EGAD where the winner shalt have written the finest/most informative/humorous review of any piece of wiring or cable that Special Reserve stock at ukleads.com.
You could even review the 1000 assorted cable ties that SR stock: http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG3057_1000_assorted_cabl.html
Visit UKLeads.com and be a winner.
How about a DESIGN THE SR TOWERS EGAD (not sure if anyone has already suggested it but I can't be asked to go through and check).
Basically the entrant would have to get their aforementioned creative juices flowing and design the most imaginative SR Towers super building/fancy lair possible. It could be designed on a PC in something like Photoshop, it could be done on paper with pen/pencil/paint/crayon and sent in, or, if you're feeling particularly daring, you could put all those wasted years of watching Tony Hart and Morph into practise by actually designing and building a miniature model of the building and sending it in to SR in a giant box (but make sure you mark the box “EGAD Compo”, or the admin people might think they’ve got a sudden rush of people returning faulty monitors. You could even let people modify their old Castle Greyskull/Barbie Mansion toys with a SR theme and let them enter too.
It can be realistic, with dull grey exterior and razor-wire covering every wall, or as wild and wacky as you see fit (plus you can include little mini versions of staff members going about their daily business, and even a little car park for them to park their little motors in).
The competition would favour the model making entrant, as it would be far more interesting and would require lots more effort, but everyone has a chance of winning.
Pictures of the winning building/s would appear on the SR site and in the club magazine. Also, after the competition has finished, all the models received by SR could be sold on the site or on eBay (or just chucked in the nearest wheelie-bin).
So what does SR Towers look like? You decide…
