Feeling lonely and isolated?

Looking at stale old posts?

Nobody around to talk to?

Creative juices dried up?

You need new miracle Extra GAD. Extra GAD sweeps as it cleans as it enlivens.

The person with the best suggestion for an EXTRA GAD competition will win any game of their choice.

Closing date = midnight on August 26th.

And YES - the winning suggestion will be used as a real Extra GAD compo (er - just like this one).

So, by gad, get adding you cads. You are never too old to be bold!

**** IMPORTANT - EDITED POSTS DON'T COUNT ****

If two people suggest the same winning idea it will be the first one to post it that wins.

You should have pass the parcel, excpet you do it by email, set up a site where people submit their email address to become eligible to take part. Then you send out an email to each person, but only one person gets the winning email.

It's genius, it really is.

Make the worlds first SR fansite featuring history, and other crap.

Actually create that SR games website that you were on about for that eGAD, think up a good [insert D word here] for it...

[D word] some shop layouts?

[D word] some posters, I've already done that one...

SR Mag - Design the backpage EGAD

An advert, for the back of one of the issues of the Special Reserve magazine, designed by the forum. The best entry advertising a game, a series or product wins, and will be used on the back of one of your mags.

So many pages! So many ideas! Do I trawl through everything that has been suggested so far? Or hope my ideas are just so devastingly original, that no one else will have thought of them? For the sake of energy preservation and reduction of potential brainstrain, I think I shall opt for the latter...

My ideas are thus!

1. “The Light’n’Fluffy Backlash”: every game sequel these days is darkier, grittier, more urban in tone. But what if this trend was reversed? Think of an idea for a sequel that has a lighter, more optimistic tone...

2. “Peripheral Shmeripheral”: dancemats come and dancemats go. But the Dual Shock, it seems, will last forever. Unless... Come up with the most creative, crazy, hi-tech or (God forbid) practical/sensible/workable idea for a gaming peripheral...

3. “Rejuvenating the Classics”: what gaming heroes of yesteryear deserve to be, but haven’t been reborn onto PS2/XBox/Gamecube? Explain why and how this should happen...

4. “A Mini Adventure”: short story competition... stories involving one or more characters from existing games... of less than 100 words! (or... more sensibly... 500 words?... 1000 words?)

5. “Bestial Buttons”: think of / design a games controller your pet could use...

6. “PS2 Potential”: come up with the most creative alternative use for a PS2 - e.g. bookend, doorstop, coffee table...

There’s half a dozen. I’ll return if / when I think of s’more...
