It's against gods will for you to take control of your own life, basically it's the idea that he's the only one who should get to decide.

Isnt it because of the trouble you cause the police and people who have to waste their time saving someone who doesnt care.

My understanding (of bleary-eyed memories of law degree lectures) is that it's illegal so as to provide an appropriate legal framework to be able to bring criminal actions against those who help people top themselves (euthenasia).
It'd be a messy inconsistancy if it was legal to kill yourself, but illegal to help someone else do it.

So.. when they arrest you after failing, do they offer to help you ? Like send you to see a psychiatrist or something? Surely being arrested could make matters worse..
Don't see the point in it being illegal though, you can do whatever you wish to do to your body and I don't see why you should not be allowed to try and kill yourself. We own our body's, not God. Yers, thankyou God for creating me, but it's my body now and I'll wreck it if I please. Or thankyou mum & dad for creating me, rather..

They don't arrest people who attempt suicide though - they give them help, they say it's illegal to try and deter people.
