Having returned here for the first time in a while, I am surprised to see that you can edit your own posts.

This seems silly to me. Surely it means you can distort a thread and make others look very foolish.

I see editing posts as an evil blessing. I can't stand it when I do typos so it helps for that but you can make someone look a fool.
