Not going to write a huge post, just wondered why movies based on games suck?

I can't think of any:

Mortal Kombat
Super Mario Bros

And, by this reckoning, Tomb Raider will be bad.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not adverse to watching Ms Jolie fling herself about (will she make that noise when she falls? I like that noise), but video-game to movies are, without exception, bad.

Movies to games?
Usually pretty lame as well, except for Goldeneye.

Prove me wrong by all means.

Well I thought Super Mario Bros the movie was good!

I know it bombed. But it's good.

I'm only hoping it does well because Chris Barrie is in it.

It will probably suck, though.
