They have the biggest stands, right next to each other, with Sony boasting over 100 games on show, of which at least 10 are AAA titles.
Nintendo remain tight lipped about what exactly they'll have on show, but as they have the largest stands, then fully playable games are highly likely.
It's rumoured that the Mario and Luigi title will be playable, and Zelda will be shown behind closed door. No doubt there will be many of the launch titles on display too.
Wouldn't it be great to be a fly buzzing between those two stands!
I wonder if they will get a bit competitive.....
The Nintendo stands are a bit thin on visiters, as many are initially checking out Sony's wares. Nintendo decide to turn up all of there speakers to 11! The amazing sound capabilities of the GameCube shakes the Sony stand, and the balance of power sways as everyone rushes to the Nintendo stand.
Sony aren't finished there though, to unleash Naughty Dog's PS2 offering they release a pack of hounds into the Nintendo area! They manage to round up the 'sheep' and bring them back to Sony's stand.
A fierce counter soon follows from Nintendo. To unveil the sequel to Super Smash Brothers, Nintendo have hired a bunch of goons to dress up as the characters, and viciously attack those in Sony's corner!
Once this attack is over, Sony fight back with a double whammy! Playable Final Fantasy, and new video footage of Metal Gear Solid 2. Whilst everyone tries to get a look at these fab games they don't see the thread from above! It's a hot air ballon, and who's that inside? Why it's some freaks dressed as Pokemon! And what's that they're doing! My God no! They're dropping pokemon goodies directly into the Sony area! The horror! The tackiness! Quick, back to the Nintendo stands to see all that is good about Pokemon, the games.
Oh if only it was going to be that entertaining!
BTW, Microsoft do too have a stand, but much smaller, and in a different hall. They're no fun.
Lylat Wars was okay... Once.
Sure you can pick one game and say how bad it is but that doesn't really give you a good idea of the games in general. Mario64 was good (if a little odd), Goldeneye was very good (especially at the time and for a long time), Perfect Dark was good (some people think it should have been better but overall it was good), Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF: No Mercy were both good... SO it goes on, just because Lylat Wars was bad it doesn't mean everything else was. (Why am I speaking in the past tense... guess it must be because the Game Cuboid is almost here. Well anyway, switch the "was"s for "is"s if you like).
E3 will be that entertaining, but not in the same way. I can't wait to see an in-game Mario movie.......Ooh....Rogue Squadron.....:D
What do you think will be the first Rare game Meka? They talked about a PD sequel, but surely not so soon. Soon? wasn't PD released ages ago?!
Anyhoo, I think it will be Dinosaur Planet.....
That looks cool, I just hope they haven't changed it to Star Fox!
I hate Slippy!
Grrrrrrr
The Game
"Ł60 for Lylat Wars and you can finish it, straight out the box in 42 mins"
And we all go "Oh yeah, Goldeneye was fun though" and shuffle off.
