My GP32 is now up for sale (at an inflated price, no less), so iPods arrival seems to have been hastened.

My only worries are:

-Getting Mugged
-Battery

I like the idea of studying in the library... what song do I fancy?

Beep Beep, playlist to suit my mood and surroundings.

Oh , so good.

If I was to buy anything from the apple store, it'd be a refurbished 20Gig iPod.

Apple iPod store for £219. The engraving is optional, but free. There are also other accessories there too, like the iTalk microphone that I was seriously considering when I go to sleep half way through lectures.

I suppose it does depend on the size of a person's music collection. I have about 200 CDs - at about 11 tracks a disk and 3,000 kb a track that works out at....

2,200 tracks = 6,600,000 kb - just over 6.6 GBs

Then I have about, at the most, 1gb of downloaded music - meaning my entire music collection could be put into 8gb. At the moment a 40gb mp3 player would seen financially nonesense. However a few years down the line I am sure my music collection will expand - though by then, mp3 players - or other such portable music devices - will be cheaper.

Yar! My laser engraved iPod arrived today. I'm copyng my entire music collection right now.

First impressions. Headphones feel comfy, more so than the Sennheiser MX500 ones. The clickwheel feels nice too, and of course you can fail to admire the quality of just looking at it. Ahh yes, I am impressed.

Oh, the box is cool too.
