It was whipped up becuase we didn't really want to have mods and a bunch of spammers managed to annoy everyone a couple of times over weekends. Now you can ignore them and the forum returns to a joyful wonderland. If people want to ignore each other, then fine - this is supposed to be a fun pasttime and if someone is bothering you and ruining it, then ignore away.

It's kinda like blocking someone on MSN - rude and childish. Although I will be using the ignore feature to block out spammers.

I don't think I'll be ignoring someone over a petty argument.

I find it quite interesting that it has taken this long for a feature like this to be implemented. Perhaps it was simply SR not wanting to expand the features of the forums, as they hadn't really done until recently, or the fact that the feature didnt need to be included :\ The fact that anyone on here feels the need to ignore someone really makes me question the whole atmosphere on here nowadays.
