"Sales of Manhunt are Up"

Seen this somewhere yesterday, and i'm trying to dig it up but Manhunt sales have increased, I thought this was going to happen but not so quickly, since the newspaper articles were only in the other day. I had owned Manhunt when it came out and then sold it when I finished it, but i'm considering buying it again. Rockstar must be thinking its great publicity...or not as it might be taken of the shelves completely

I'd give him a negative because he is lying to you.

eBay has made no such ruling on the game, and eBay does not tell anyone to take items off - if eBay does not want your item on it is removed by them instantly. So yes, he is an ass, and a liar. Which format are you looking for? PS2 ones can be had cheaply but Xbox/PC ones are a bit harder.

I'm one of those people.. Nowhere to be seen 'cept eBay.. Even that git said eBay told him to take it off even after I'd clicked the Buy It Now.. Ass.

Seriously, we all play these violent games. I play C&C Red Alert with the violent FMVs, like sadam breaking the womans neck, etc. Didn't mean at my tender (younger age) I was gonna go around snapping peoples necks did it?

Its the weak mindedness of the individual that causes this, not the game!

I blame the kid who did the murder

All that's going to happen to Rockstar is more money and popularity.

And in fairness you can't lay any kind of blame on them

Lawsuit? Only remotely possible lawsuit is one BY Rockstar. Legally Rockstar cannot be touched - they submitted it to the BBFC, the BBFC passed it, it's not Rockstar's fault if a minor played it. Ultimately the game came from a store, so either a parent bought it or the kid did when he should not have been able to.

Except for a big nasty lawsuit.

Must be good for them. They had a reputation for bloodthirsty games before, they've still got one + a bit more contraversy, + more sales. Win, win as far as Rockstar are concerned.
