Sega released the Saturn, then the Dreamcast. Both original names.
What I ask you now is what do you think the future consoles will be called?
Sony: ?
Nintendo: ?
Microsoft: ?
Sega (If they do make another console): ?
For Sony’s next machine, please don’t say PlayStation3! :-)
I think it should be called the GameCuboid.
If they can't get the Cube bit right, how the hell will they get the Game bit right?*
:-)
*If you think you've seen that somewhere before, you have. I think FM or Meka posted it a couple of weeks ago. It's a damn good point though!
Do you think I would be succesful in suing them for breach of Trade Descriptions Act?
:-)
S128 is short for Sony 128 bit.
Playstation was the first then they decided to take the 2 letters P and S and make PS2! How original is that?!! and the third they will probably take P3!! Thats even more original!! Then they get sued by Pentium 3 and thats the end of Sony!! good hey?
The sega Master machine
The Nintendo Miniturecom
The microsoft Z-cube
If you did I'd reckon you'd be put off by the name.
Names do matter, not to the gameplay but to the sales.
