I want to scan some pics in to my computer and then create a sort of slide show, i also want it to show the pictures while music is playing in the background. Any suggestions how i go about it. (like a short video clip} I want the images to merge from pic to pic and have different effects.

I would appreciate it f anyone can help.

Had a quick muck about - incredibly easy to knock up a slideshow in no time! Did a 5-page presentation, each with 1 picture - all animated - took about 2 minutes. If you've never used it before, it's quite easy to understand and navigate.

Still not sure on the sound front. I have no sound files on this machine so maybe that's why it's not working, but there's an option to play sounds/music, CD tracks or your own recorded sounds - and it looks like the option is there to have it run over the whole presentation...

I was using PowerPoint 2000 BTW, although other versions shouldn't be too much different.

I'll have a tinker with this if you want, while you have a look at Publisher.

I'll let you know how I get on - it's just a slideshow of images with accompanying music but with animated transitions, right?

Chees anyway monkey man, ill have a look see what i can do, and i will check out powerpoint to bullett.

I would have thought MS Powerpoint would be better for a Slideshow. Not too sure if you can play music over the whole thing though...

Hmmm, I haven't used it for years, but I used to use it to make animations instead of doing proper work in IT -you'll just have to figure out how, I can't remember offhand, sorry.
