Bought this yesterday and I have heard some versions are cut. But which?
I have the one that says something at the top on the cover like ' melvin was a 92lb weakling until nuclear waste transformed him into.... Then in big letters at the bottom ' the toxic avenger ' Also the run time is 88 mins. And I saw another version which only runs for 80 mins. So surely this is uncut?

Don't buy the box. It has the first film, the crap sequels and the cartoton movie (you remember the Toxic Crusaders cartoon, don't you?). The first is good and the cartoon's probably entertaining but the other's aren't worth your money. Just buy the original on it's own, it's cheaper.
on playusa you can get the tox box. all the toxie movies in one. Might get it. Its 26 quid.
Thats so crap. I'm going to order my movies from playusa from now on. They are uncut aren't they? Because on their you get the toxic avenger: directors cut which I assume is the uncut version. If the film is uncut how long will it run for? Also are all other troma movies uncut like the class of nuke em high and others. And ichi the killer and other japanese stuff.

That cut you have of the film must be edited to sheet, I can't even imagine how much has been cut if there was no gore at all. Hardly a scene goes by in the uncut version without someones head popping or guts being ripped out.

Yeah my brothers got an old NTSC VHS copy of it and I'm pretty sure it's the uncut. It's got the head crushing with the photos and the girl later looking at them and...doing stuff.
It's an entertaining film, shame about the first two sequels that followed. The third one is okay but still not as good as the original.

Is the class of nuke 'em high cut as well? I suppose it is.
that is soooo s**t. This version was totally fu(king cut tp pieces. I didnt see any gore whatsoever. Nothing. And its still an 18 rated movie. Why? It could get away with being a 15, a 12 even. Pathetic. It was funny though. Daft humour. Shame their was no gore though.
I often fail to find supposedly 'humorous' gore and death funny. Except in Monty Python, where it's so OTT and so non-gory that it's absoloutely hilarious.
