Heard "Gump" today. Never really paid much attention to Weird Al in the past, but this was genius.

I think went on to watch the MJ "I'm fat" parody. Also genius.

So, those of you that like him, what are his top 10 songs- either for comical value or because they actually sound good?

Strange that the second one isn't actually by him; it's mentioned on the site pb keeps referring to. Weird Al did write a parody of the very same song called "eBay", however, which is a pretty good offering.

A used pink bathrobe
A rare mint snowglobe
A Smurf TV tray
I bought on eBay...

Genius.

You have to realise that as he's the most popular song parodist nowadays, so a lot of stuff is credited to him. His original stuff is good as well- "Genius In France" especially rocks; the lyrics are a scream and guest musician Dweezil Zappa supplies some great guitar playing.

For some reason there are loads of downloads from places like Kazaa attributed to Weird Al, but a lot of them are not his.

nosirree billy jim bob, it's a parody of 'kids in the cradle' or whatever that song was called. here it is :

[B]Did you ever think when you eat Chinese,
It ain't pork or chicken, but a fat siamese,
Yet the food tastes great, so ya don't complain,
but that's not chicken in your chicken chow
mein.
Seems to me I ordered sweet and sour pork,
But Garfield's on my fork,
He's purrin here on my fork...

There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon,
The place that I eat everyday at noon,
They can feed you cat and you'll never know,
Once they wrap it up in dough, boys,
They fry it real crisp in dough.

Chou Lin asked if I wanted more,
As he was dialin up his buddy at the old pet store,
I said not today,
I lost my apettite,
There's two cats in my belly and they want to fight,
I was suckin on a Rolaid and a Tums or two,
When I swear I heard it mew, boy,
And that is when I knew...

There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon,
I think I gotta stop eating there at noon,
They say that it's beef or fish or pork,
But it's purrin there on my fork,
There's a hairball on my fork.

Is that a parody of Aerosmith's "Rats In The Cellar"? If so, I have to hear it- the original rocks like granite.

Oh my God.

I thought his other stuff was genius. Yoda was fantastic, but his polka songs... you just have to listen to them.
