My question is a seemingly simple one.

Which has the best solo?

I'm really torn, but I think I'd have to go for Zeppelin's Achilles Last Stand. It just pips it in my opinion.

So - thoughts?

Achilles Last Stand is a far better song, and far longer as well. In the solo stakes, Led Zep win as well- a damn great solo, with some excellent drumming as well. For sheer brilliance, Achilles Last Stand slays Sweet Child O' Mine. However, I still maintain that Metallica's "Disposable Heroes" has my favourite solo in it. =D

Haven't heard the first one but SCOM is crap so I vote the Zep.

But yes, the November Rain solo does beat them both up then impale them on a large pointy stick.

I'd say sweet child is better coz im more of a GNR fan, but if Led Zep didnt exist neither would Slash's playing style.

Anything by Slash beats the commies who can't finish songs.

Although the November Rain solo pummels them both into the ground. Hard.
