Rafael Benitez described Liverpool's strikeforce as the best in England after officially unveiling new signing Djibril Cisse.
"I think we have the best forward line in the Premiership," he said.
"We have Cisse, Michael Owen, Milan Baros and Florent Sinama Pongolle, and they'll all want to play this season.
An uncontrollable drug habit can be the nasser hussein look-a-likes only possible excuse
um:
Owen
Cisse
Baros
Pongolle
Um:
Kezman
Drogba
Crespo
Forsell
Mutu
Gudjohnsen
Robben
Cole
Tough one!
all ours and far superior (even if we have chosen to loan a couple out cos we can't accomodate them all)!
Man utd can give you a run too, but you'd probably just edge it
Back to your Crack Pipe Rafa.......
What a player he was! He was like a very smal, but extremely pacey super sub! He may have only scored a couple but he made up for it by winning numerous penalties with his great runs and dogged determination...
I'd have him over Carlton Cole any day...I've seen Cole play a couple of times live, he's a lumbering waste of space in my opinion. Not a bad finisher I spose though.

Observation of the day.

An appalling season how, exactly? If you'd be kind as to present yourself at my door, I'll break your leg and see how well you play at the top level. And beating strikers such as Thierry Henry and The WonderSulkRooney doesn't make you any good? So, let me get this straight. Rooney scores 4 with an amazing midfield and a top class striker beside him - and is a God of modern football. Yet Baros quietly tucks away 5 goals and sets up 2 more, each dispatched with timing and skill, even though he's teamed up with a striker that makes Emile Heskey look world-class....and he's not good?
Shut up.

>> Gudjohnsen scores when it is needed most.

Like he did in the semi-final of the Champions League, you mean?
That is something stupid. Something very stupid. And, when you add the name of Florent Sinama-PINGU onto the list, you can clearly see something's not right with the top-scorer of Euro 2004 sat alongside him!
Really... I don't understand Liverpool managers!
I mean, El-Hadji Diouf has hardly had the kind of impact we were expecting either, but surely, he'd be on anybody's team-sheet ahead of this particular Frenchman anyday, right!?
And, I don't know what you think, but after seeing him in and interview on SkySports News this morning, with that familiar balding head and gormless expression, I could've sworn there was a deflated version of Gerard Houllier sat there....? ;D
Liverpool
Owen - If he plays this season anywhere like last he is not worthy of being called one of the best.
Cisse - Although he scored loads in the French league, it's not the Premiership.
Baros - I can't really see how scoring 5 goals in a Euro in which Greece won makes up for an appauling season.
Pongolle - Don't even go there. I'm sure he'll be gone next season.
Chelsea
Kezman - We shall have to wait and see
Drogba - I'd rate him the same as Cisse and yet again, I'll emphesize French league.
Crespo - What a waste of money if you ask me. Pure Italien trash.
Forsell - Great striker. Why they've left him at Birmingham, I don't know.
Mutu - He's always gettin great positions, never gives up. With a bit of luck on his side should be one of Chelseas best strikers this season.
Gudjohnsen - I like Gudjohnsen alot. Very creative, great positioning and scores when it is needed most.
Robben - Again, like Kezman, we shall see.
Cole - Why throw him into this argument
I think they're both about the same, although I tip Lampy to score more goals then any of the above :P
:^)
Colourless = J
J = Jesper
Jesper = Gronkjaer
(gronkjaer = can't cross)
conclusive proof that would stand up in any court of law (and 9 year olds algebra class) that Colourless is infact Jesper Gronkjaer, constantly defending himself. The fact he loves chelsea so much is further damning evidence.
> and a winger who's idea of a cross in hitting the opposite billboard.
I may be forced to sue you, i never remember him hitting a cross of such accuracy!
> that is why i am a footy expert and not a drugs expert.
No that would be rio ferdinand!
