Have you seen Broken Sword on the GBA yet? Wow.

SR have some pictures up, and it's looking great. Me being me, decided to dig deeper, and have a few thoughts.

Firstly, how will the game allow you to communicate with characters? You would expect text, but nope, the GBA will allow the speech to be used completely. Great news.

Seen Tony Hawks 2 on the GBA as well?

Well there's a video available to download now... 20mb big, but worth it. Get it, even if you're not interested in the GBA.

Why do people assume that you have to be travelling to play a Gameboy (any kind)?

I play my Gameboy all the time (With an adaptor) and I prefer it to 3D graphics and problems with camera angles and controls....

Anyway, I've preordered my GBA, I'm getting a white one.....can't wait til June 22nd...

I agree that gameplay is important, but graphics can also help a fair amount in improving the gameplay.

If I grade a game in my head, I base about 70% of the decision on gameplay, with the remainder divided for sound graphics and lastability. Graphics still hold importance.

I admit I never had a Gameboy, though my brother did. I admit it was fun whilst travelling, because he lent it to me when I went away. However, I never used it unless I was on the coach.

I know that my doubts are probably wrong, and could easily be put to rest. However, I am failing to see what the millions of others with gameboys have already seen.

Did you ever own a Gameboy? It was also hopelessly outclassed by the consoles of the same era, yet it was still a good machine to own. An reason you can think of for ever owning one, can be applied to the GBA.

Additionally, could it be that you're forsaking the inevitable gameplay of GBA titles, for the Graphical niceties of more advanced console games?

Try not to think about what it can't do, think about what it can do.

I have a question. Here goes:

Why buy a GBA?

I have nothing against it, but I can`t see anything in favour of it either. If I am about to travel a lot, then perhaps a handheld would be good, but as far as I`m concerned, the only time I`d use it is perhaps a few times a year between Uni and home.

Are people buying it for travelling etc... or is it something you`ll use in the house? If it is to be for the household, then why go for a handheld with less potential than the next-gen consoles?

I don`t mean to sound like I am criticising it, I`d just like somebody to tell me why its a good idea to be buying one.

Alone in the dark is also looking pretty nice on GBA.

I went and bought F-zero Advance the other day, as I got a bit bored with having Castlevania in Japanese. I may end up buying the UK version (at SR of course!) when it arrives in June, along with Tony Hawks (or Tony Hyawks according to the SR magazine, perhaps he has had a name change)

Now watch those batteries die!!

Need to buy a worm light though, just a cheap £5 to keep me going for a while, the lack of backlight is annoying!

*smutty kid joke type posting warning*

I like handhelds.
I have one that fits snugly into my hand and provides hours of....

Nah, sorry.
GBA looks ok for a handheld, but where do you play these?

At school?
Work?
In a car?
Holiday?

I dont get it, the GBA things leaves me thinking "Uh...Tropico is out isnt it?"

Not slamming those that want one, just dont understand the appeal.
Please explain (and that is a serious question,I want to know why you want one)

The Tony Hawk's video is coming soon, it should be up tonight and believe me, your jaw will hit the floor. I have never seen anything look as good as this on a handheld.
