I have a 500 pound FirstDirect overdraft, I transfered 225 pounds to a different account, my FirstDirect account is now showing 225 pound left of the overdraft, but all this doesn't add up! I should have 274 pounds left after that transaction! Am I crazy?
> The penny has dropped...
Well better to drop a penny :D then think you'd been charged £50 for a transfer (you wouldn't have been charged that amount for a transfer anyway).
My overdraft with Lloyds TSB is displayed online as the amount left of it, while FirstDirect online shows the amount borrowed only, hence the £225 displayed. I've been using lloyds TSB for such a long time that I didn't bother to look much closer at this :S
I am going mad, lol...
1) Made a terrible mistake and isn't too bright
2) Subtly trying to tell you that they've pilfered your money.

yes, she just said I was one pound in credit and I transfered 226 pounds to my lloyds tsb account and that rightfully leaves 225 pounds. Huh? She never mentioned any 50 pound charge for doing this.
I felt like a muppet as she said borrowing 226 pounds from 501 leaves 225 pounds.
Did you ask them to give you a breakdown of how they came to that figure?

I was (1) pound in credit before all this took place but I didn't bother to mention it here.
Oh you noticed.
