I have a 500 pound FirstDirect overdraft, I transfered 225 pounds to a different account, my FirstDirect account is now showing 225 pound left of the overdraft, but all this doesn't add up! I should have 274 pounds left after that transaction! Am I crazy?

My overdraft with Lloyds TSB is displayed online as the amount left of it, while FirstDirect online shows the amount borrowed only, hence the £225 displayed. I've been using lloyds TSB for such a long time that I didn't bother to look much closer at this :S

It seems like this women has either:
1) Made a terrible mistake and isn't too bright
2) Subtly trying to tell you that they've pilfered your money.

yes, she just said I was one pound in credit and I transfered 226 pounds to my lloyds tsb account and that rightfully leaves 225 pounds. Huh? She never mentioned any 50 pound charge for doing this.

You should actually be overdrawn £224.00 with a balance of £276 until you reach the overdraft limit of £500.

This post might read stupid but I had a conversation with them on the blower and they just tell me blank faced that having 225 pound left is correct.
£275 actually. However you could have been overdrawn already by £50, which would be why you only have £225 left.
