The Gamecube though seems to do exactly what the 64 did and what the Playstation did. Me being a PS fan would never consider going back to the big N but just like BT it looks as if I will cancle my order of the PS2 and wait for the Gamecube.
The games seem cool especially with the return of old classics like metroid and new ones like Too Human and Sabrewulf. 3rd partys have games to appear on the GC, I expect Sega to work with Ninty a lot, Namco with Tekken, Ridge Racer etc..., Acclaim will appear as the always have, Capcom have promised a vast ammount of Resident Evil games and Street fighter is bound to appear.
The Gamecube looks sweet and looks like Nintendo is about to produce a 128 bit SNES but more violent. What more could you want.
