Has full 1080i HDTV support for the US version. I am shocked.

I can't understand why the likes of Metal Gear Solid 3/Xenosaga 2 etc haven't opted for HDTV support. It really does bring the visual quality a hell of a lot closer to PC resolutions.

Why developers have held back HDTV support and Dolby Digital support for PS2 games is beyond me, the few that have supported it have ran flawlessly.

Yeah, had mine pre-ordered from videogameplus now since before Christmas. Trying not to let the reviews put me off but the general feeling is more of the same only less of it.

If the first is anything to go by it will be sweet as.

PGR2 is sublime.

The Gran Turismo series, on the other hand, is utterly mind numbing.

The Gran Turimso series is the best racing series ever made. Just takes a while to adjust to it's realistic physics engine.

Personally, I'd rather save my time and enjoy the realistic physics engine of the real world.
