It only just occoured to me how much the gamecube's controler design resembles the playstation dual shock pad.

From the general shape and the 'glove' handles at either side, to the 2 tiers of buttons/pads arranged just like the dual shock, and even to an extent the memory cards. It's uncanny.

Also why are special reserve taking pre-orders on x-box but not gamecube? Waiting for E3?

so Nintendo heven't copied anyone!

Hmmm, just trying to remember where exactly the extended hand grips at each side of the SNES controler were.
Now that you mention it, I never noticed that N64's rumble packs had analogue sticks placed just below and to the inside of the main banks of control buttons. How silly of me.

Please, before you reply to this or anything else, just read it, all of it please, properly and make sure you understand what all the words mean. And get a grown up to help you when you use scissors.

Yes the GC controller took years to develop, but Nintendo were not happy with the final product and had a revamp just before Spaceworld.

The GC pad wasn't rushed! Infact it took years (If I can remember correctly) to design it just right...

anyway I think it looks much better than the PS's crappy one which feels awful in the hand...

...and I've heard that the GC controller fits just right in your hands!

The PS pad was based on the SNES's, the Dual shock was brought in cos Nintendo had rumble paks....

That design was rushed so they could get it out for display at spaceworld. I dunno if it is the final design and Nintendo have said that the design of the controller may change. I just cant wait until E3. So many questions will be answered about the cube.

Yeah, i doubt nintendo would stoop to such methods - maybe it's just an ideal kind of design that pads have been evolving to, and because of this they've all reached a similar point.

It does look cheap and a little flimsy, partly because the plastic looks a suspect quality and colour, partly because the lowered round parts with the d-pad and yellow bit look a little weak like they could snap off, being attached so badly.

well, i suppose Gc hasnt got an official Europe release date yet(sometime in Spring). i dont nintendo have copied Sony in any way. If it looks similar then it must be just a coincidence. nintendo have always strived to be inovitive and create original new products. Personly i think da pad is really nice. Although i've heard people say it looks like somthin that some third party like joytech have come up with.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Easy and free service!
I think it's fab that you provide an easy-to-follow service, and even better that it's free...!
