Im absolute rubbish with photoshop, i thought it would be the ideal image editing tool as i began to find MS paint too restrictive and inaccurate. But after getting it i feel like im drowning, theres so many options and tweakable things that i dont really know where to start.

What i really need is some kind of guide, i dont mind paying for a good book which will really help me get the most out of the program, but i would prefer personal recommendations, not just going to amazon and looking for a book with 5 star reviews. Of course im also open to free online resources.

Cheers for your help.

Admittedly photoshop was £20, but who the hell can afford a genuine version who isnt seriously into that kind of business?

Forget about books.

Seriously, best thing you can do is fiddle about with the program - just open a picture and use all the tools on it to see what happens.

If you buy a book, you'll find that you never read it and learn the stuff by just fiddling.

Edit - but yeah, if theres specific things youre looking to do, take a gander at Timmarrghs links.

Just wondering... what is it youre wanting to do with PS?
