"A tough decision......"

...I have decided to keep only one of my consoles as I feel games are holding me back a bit, they're not exactly great for my health, or social life.

The PS2 is technically inferior to the other consoles, but I've always said that graphics aren't everything, and I've also said that the PS2 is the casual gamers console of choice. Since I'll be playing games in a more casual sense, the PS2 would seem the best option. Plus San Andreas is the only game that I must have this year.

The X-Box on the other hand is powerful, and although graphics aren't everything, they are a great bonus. Plus it's got the hard-drive so I wouldn't have to spend any more money on memory cards, and it has the jukebox. It also seems to be growing in popularity, and has some of the best racers available, and I like racers.

The GC, well it simply has the most original, fun titles out there, but I don't see much of a future for the little black box, and everytime I go into a games store, it only has a small section in the corner. But I doubt I'd get much if I sold my GC, considering I only have 4 games for it, so it may be worthwhile keeping that.

It's a bit of a tough decision for me as I kind of like all the consoles, but I just feel that I need to move on with my life, and there's no doubt that these games are holding me back.

Right now I'm thinking of keeping the PS2 as it's the most popular and San Andreas will be released on it first, plus there are some good racers coming out soon, and a lot of those revolve around car modding, I liked modding cars in NFSU but the races were terrible, but if a game can get the racing right then it would do me fine.

So what does everyone else think? Do you have any reasons why I should keep a particular console?

Damn my ever changing mind! I'm keeping the three consoles now because I'm not really making much out of them, so I'm just going to sell the games I hardly play and keep the ones I do. This is a my final decision. Yes it is, yes it is, yes it is!

Well, as it turns out the GC is worth pretty much naff all. So I'm just going to keep that as well, at least until I finish Harvest Moon. But I am selling all of my other GC games. If all goes to plan, I'll only have 9 games left by the end of the week, over the two formats.

Well it's decided, I'm going to keep the PS2. The main reason being San Andreas, but I've also been looking at other games that would appeal to me as well and there seems to be enough to keep me occupied. There's also plenty of racers due out too: Burnout 3, NFSU2 (hopefully the racing will be improved) Midnight Club 3, GT4 (I'm willing to give it a go now) Juiced and loads of others. So PS2 it is.

Yea I know what you mean, and I'll still have a console if I want to play games, but do I really need 3 consoles? I don't think so; so if I sell two of them I'll have less choice, so there's more chance of me wanting to go out and do something else.

Keep the Xbox, if racers are your thing. The Cube is better, but has few real racers, and the Xbox is far superior to the PS2.

Yea, I mean I've been trying to cut down on games since January and I've sold a LOT of them. But because I have all the consoles I just buy more and then I start heading back to square one. I think that the best thing to do, for myself, is to just get rid of the consoles.

But like you say, I still want to have something for when I feel like having a little shot at a game so I've decided to keep one console, but I'm just not sure which one to keep really.
