RIDGE RACER DS OR ASPHAULT URBAN GT?
And my point is how do you know it is better when you haven't even played it!? Trust me; graphically Ridgey is superior. If you think screenshots prove anything look at these and tell me which appeals more:

I know which I think is the better looker. And I also know which one is better in motion.

That's exactly what I said. I agree Ridge Racer is a lot better as a racing game, but by looking at screen shots, Asphalt Assult looks a wee bit better in terms of graphics.
I have owned both. I don't have Asphalt anymore but I do have Ridge Racer. In my opinion, Ridge Racer is better in every department. People seem to applaud Asphalt graphically, and its really not great at all. It runs fairly smoothly but it looks like an N-gage game. Ridge Racer, on the other hand, is smooth and true to the graphics we saw around the PS1/N64 era, and much better than Asphalt.
As for the game in general, Ridge Racer wins again. Despite touch screen steering being hard to use it does grow on you if you are patient, and it at least adds a new dimension to the game. Even using the D-pad on Ridgey beats Asphalts rather clunky attempts.
So yes, get Ridge Racer. It is without a doubt the better of the two.
