Whilst enjoying my usual lazy skysports watching, my eye's were dirtied by that hole called anfield.
They were holding a press conference and they are announcing steven Gerrard is staying at Liverpool. Bolllocks. I really wanted him at chelsea so we could purge the squad a bit and have an awesome british midfield. How very annoying.

Apparently Van Persie is a bit like Bergkamp but with a left foot.

Reyes will be a top player if used properly, That basically means cutting Bergkamp to a back role now.
Too often we see youngsters development stunted by aging former stars holding onto their place while the manager desperately prays for a return to their form of old, and prattles on about experience.
Carlton cole and Forssell are obvious chelsea examples, held out of the team when worthy of greater things.

I don't quite know where the 'need' for Reyes was, but they've certainly needed another striker in van Persie, with Kanu and Wiltord both on their way out, Bergkamp getting anything but younger and "waste-of-money No.5" Francis Jeffers simply rotting away in the reserves.
