Blood, violence and first class gameplay made Turok an instant hit but the game classic Goldeneye appeared at the same time. So despite Acclaims best efforts Turok was never to defeat Rare's masterpiece.
The sequel Turok 2 still today has some have the most detailed and mouth opening graphics ever and sold millions. Still though the game's release coincided with Zelda so would inevitably suffer some lost sales. The game though introduced the infamous cerebral
Turok Rage Wars boasted some of the greatest weapons, even better gameplay than ever before and is stunningly addictive. The game is also stupidly priced and with is an essential purchase.
Turok 3 has shown some of the greatest set pieces ever, greatest graphics, spot on control system, not easy to complete, lips move with the words, FMV only beaten by Resident evil and also very cheap and a essential purchase.
Turok's excellent engine was also used to make South Park and Armorines.
Now I have seen the Acclaim five for the Gamecube but what I didn't see was Turok 4.
What is going on? Is it still coming out?
Turok is a familiar Nintendo face and without it on the Gamecube the console may seem as if it is missing someone.
Here's hoping Turok 4 comes out

(Yup. Again. Doesn't anyone else report news around here?)
At least not for the GC. :0)
Turok 4 WILL be on the Gamecube. It's a definite.
Turok 1 was a classic!
Turok 2 i wasn't impressed got it but didn't like it.
Too dark, Bad controlls, Died to often, Didnt' like it too much
Turok Rage wars, Loved excellent gameplay, May not be like the rest but was excellent!
Turok 3 was great, The storyline was invocative and the set pieces such as the man going up the ladder but not coming back was exccelent.
But Sniper you are right none of the Turok games match PD
Granted, the first was a classic, it really was innovative and the graphics and enemy animations were very impressive at the time. Needless to say, the 'pea-souper' fog effects were rather annoying, as were the series of infuriatingly tedious ledge-hopping sessions.
Turok 2 I wasn't nearly as impressed with. There was a lot of hype for this game, particularly the multiplayer mode - but it just didn't deliver. Levels which in the original had been conservatively described as 'a bit too big' grew tenfold. Aside for slightly different weapons and a hi-res mode (and a slighly greater visibility range), the one player didn't really offer anything new. What's more, beyond the first level or so it just got tedious. Enemies were too fast, and movement in fights too restricted by the endless corridor-like passages. Often it was quite hard to tell if the enemy was dying, or just moaning before firing a burst of plasma to fry you with. That got to be a little annoying too. By far the most annoying thing though, was the controls - not the control system, but just the way they falt - the two second delay between pressing strafe, and actually strafing! It all felt a little sluggish.
The Turok 2 multiplayer wasn't dire, but the action wasn't really fast enough, and weapons not powerful enough. It was all too easy for your opponent to run away.
Ladders really don't work in multiplayer.
Well, I never played turok 3 or rage wars, but I'm pretty sure there is a good reason for them being so cheap. ;)
Turok 3 was awesome it was addicitive, gory, graphics was excellent it was the greates Turok ever!!!!!!!!!
