Turok: Dinosaur hunter was the first 3rd party game on the N64. This proved to the thousands of gaming fans that Nintendo are not as cute as they seem.
Blood, violence and first class gameplay made Turok an instant hit but the game classic Goldeneye appeared at the same time. So despite Acclaims best efforts Turok was never to defeat Rare's masterpiece.
The sequel Turok 2 still today has some have the most detailed and mouth opening graphics ever and sold millions. Still though the game's release coincided with Zelda so would inevitably suffer some lost sales. The game though introduced the infamous cerebral
Turok Rage Wars boasted some of the greatest weapons, even better gameplay than ever before and is stunningly addictive. The game is also stupidly priced and with is an essential purchase.
Turok 3 has shown some of the greatest set pieces ever, greatest graphics, spot on control system, not easy to complete, lips move with the words, FMV only beaten by Resident evil and also very cheap and a essential purchase.
Turok's excellent engine was also used to make South Park and Armorines.
Now I have seen the Acclaim five for the Gamecube but what I didn't see was Turok 4.
What is going on? Is it still coming out?

I wasnt too overkeen on Turok 2 at first but after giving it another go its not too bad - Still one of the most difficult games around though I think!!
Rage wars was the only thing that kept me sane during those long, long delays before PD was released.
And, also, having that on a free gift offer made me join Special Reserve.

It said Turok was released out at the Same time as Goldeneye so wasn't noticed!
But you are right it did come out before Goldeneye but was still knocked down by it when it was released.

umm Dringo you said Turok was around the same time as Goldeneye, now 4 months is a huge gap in videogaming, Turok was around by itself for a long time and did extremely well!
