Next on the oh-so fun agenda was making origami dominoes and trying to line them up and knock down as many successive dominoes as possible. Two members of the group could manage to fold the paper correctly so we left them to it whilst the rest of us chatted irrelevantly. Group dynamics indeed.
Then they made us learn a dance routine, dear God, a DANCE ROUTINE! How the hell does this play a part in my immediate future? In fact, does it play a part in my future at all? Absolutely not. I never plan on joining a dance class, being in a boy band or conscripting to the Navy.
Next on the wonderful list of things they had planned for us, they made us build bamboo structures with nothing but string… and bamboo of course and balance guttering on them to guide a ball through 4 points marked on the floor. To be honest this was rather enjoyable and was a bit like a life-size mousetrap game, though it still sucked because I said so. Our group won because I rocked at it.
Finally came the best bit of it all, doing little group plays. Oh how I gallantly leapt with glee! We had to stand and make fools of ourselves in front of about 150 people for 5 minutes; if anything this distanced us from the group and made our motivation and self worth decline, more than encourage us to bond as a group. Thus provide you can teach academics but confidence and natural acting ability aren’t teachable things.
Our group came second overall, they gave us a bag of sweets, WOW KEWL. I feel as if I have totally wasted a day; the highlight truly being playing football at dinner.
It did remind me of The office episode where they have a group thing and, of course, nobody gained anything from it. Is tying bamboo together a life skill? No. Is a co-ordinated dance routine going to get me a top job? Unless I want to be a dancer, no! The point of the day was truly missed I believe, though I am sure I can salvage something from it to put on my personal statement.
In other news I had a good time at Alton Towers yesterday and managed to get on all the big rides, thanks to everyone for your recommendations and advice.
I also found out yesterday evening my uncle died; which saddened me a great deal.
I conclusion I am also clinically depressed. Hurrah.

I'm sure he's feeling a whole lot better.
And what kind of name is "Develop" anyway?
Prfffft.
And I hope you went on Air. At the front. Because that = greatest thing ever. Pretty much.
