I went for an interview at Homebase the other day because I need money whilst not at Uni. I assumed I was just going to be told that I'm going to stack shelves, put deck chairs in the right place etc. Instead, what I actually got, was a barrage of questions on what I understand about the term "shrinkage" and what I'd do if an angry customer came up to me shouting the odds. "I'd tell her to get a job, like me" is exactly what I didn't say.

And then, after the interview goes crap, the guy has the balls to tell me to wait "until the middle of next week" for a reply on how I did. I'll middle of next week HIM, Ill middle of next week him good and proper.

I bet if you were good enough, you'd probably be able to spend most of your working time there hiding in one of the little hovels they have up for show. And if a supervisor came along or whatever, you could say "be quiet" or "I'm selling the hovel", and he'd leave you alone.

Although I'd probably have to deal with stupid old people.

Crackhead, if you even TRIED to work in the same Homebase store as me, I would have to suplex you through a wheelbarrow. and I'm not even into wrestling.

Of course, what with Homebase and B&Q being arch enemies, we would have to battle to the death on sight of each other.

My weapon of choice is a hoe, just so you know what to expect.

Homebase is for the weak (...), I'm thinking I'm much more of a B&Q man myself. Plus, word on the street is that they give you a reply within 24 hours of your interview.

And they don't ask you questions about Shrinkage.
And they say "Nash is great"
And they make me king.

Shrinkage can also mean stock that has been damaged.

Get this Nashy boy, shirnkage refers to stock leaving the shop (like when somebody steals something) but not being registared as gone. So they think they have it, but they don't.

You're not gonna try work at Homebase now are you?

At McDonalds, you only need to know your grill from your microwave and you've got the job. As manager. (apparently).
