DDR only works with matched pairs, ie, same brand, cl, size etc. Some processors, esp the FX51 require matched registered pairs to work (thank god they ditched this in the fx53!)
My nForce 2 mobo came with 2x256 in normal, switch it to Dual Chan and the difference is amazing.
With regards to a new Hard Drive, would something like this be worth it [URL] http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=122429&cks=PRL [/URL]? How does Serial ATA work, what sort of connection to the motherboard etc...
