The time is 11:07, which means at this very moment Apple is holding a press conference in London. The iTunes Music Store is launched today, meaning you can download any track you like for £0.99. There's also free demo's and some iTMS exclusives, so download iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes and check it out.

Of course, iTMS won't be up just yet ;)

Indeed - a small part of the album is the artwork and messages.

It will be a cold day in hell that I buy an mp3 file from the internet.

I'll stick to something with substance thanks.

Have to agree that for £7.99 for an album I'd much rather have the CD with the album artwork etc than just the digital audio files on my PC.

There are some exclusives that I'll probably buy of there to put on my iPod but I don't see it replacing my CD collection any time soon. Hopefully though we'll see some of the deals like they had in the US were you can get free downloads etc.

Lame.

Oh well. Amazon albums (Marketplace) are cheaper, are actual CDs, and excellent quality. And if I want a single (rarely), I'll use 'other' means.
