I am doing an attachment to a plain-clothes department called PHT, which sounds like some kind of hormonal imbalance, but actually stands for prisoner handling team. So, I spend my time interviewing and dealing with all the naughty people that the uniformed officers are arresting.
It’s very good because it gives me a chance to interview with some Dc’s who have near 30 years interviewing experience, so I can learn a lot from them.
It also means that I get to interview for some more serious and unusual offences. The other day I got to interview some bloke for a domestic ABH and threats to kill. Charged another guy with possession with intent to supply, for which he will probably get a prison sentence.
It has given me an insight into another aspect of the force, that of CID, which I may now be interested in going into.
I'm bored, which is why I decided to ramble.

Better than the army, anyway.
Dunno if I'll ever think about actually getting into it though.
Well...okay, you are an evil fascist oppressor, but you know what I mean...
I in no way mean that all people on benefit are criminals
I had to go and search his house, which his mother really liked.
I have never been so tired before I joined the job. The hours are long enough without overtime, and although I get four days off, which is a long time, it is time needed.
It's good to read the stuff you write here about your job and I genuinely look forward to reading your posts. I think a lot of people don't realise that there are many different aspects to police work and the general opinion of the job is "you just go round looking for people to nick".
Back to my usual tone: YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE, COPPER!!!
