You have got admit that playstations take for ever to to load, you could go downstairs have a drink and by the time you get back up the stairs the game is still trying to load up the level, it is night mare plus playstations always crashes and the games almost always jump. As for an N64 there is virtualy no loading time at all. My N64 has never jumped or has never crashed. my friends playstation crashes all the time and he has also had to buy 2 new lasers for it as they keep waring away. I have had no problems with my N64 and i have had my computer longer than he has had his playstation.

Conker's Bad Fur Day crashed on my N64, and I didn't do anything to deserve it. You know the scene where you fight the boiler with brass.... parts? Well I'd just started fighting him, I'd given him a good whack where it hurts twice, then the game messed up when I pulled the third chain. The cut scene messed up - it didn't show conker, yet it showed the chain moving as normal. When it changed back to the normal game I thought everything was okay - but it wasn't. The camera had become stuck, and I had a pathetic little view of the corner where the chain is, whilst I could still run conker around the rest of the level.

I even spent ten miniutes tying to get conker back into that corner, so I could pull the chain again, but that didn't work either.

Still, at least it was an interesting glitch rather than the game freezing up.

If it's not a cartridge, then it's very likely to have loading times. But don't worry, it hardly makes any difference in my opinion. Unless you're very fussy.

Well, some games such as MGS hardly take any time to load at all!

And I think your going a bit over the top. Yeah okay, In Cold Blood takes a while, but most games take around 10 seconds to load. Not much really, is it?? As long as the game is good.

I mean, Deus Ex on PC takes ages to load, yet loads of people love it.

I find loading times annoying. You don't expect loading times on consoles. There is the occational game with a loading time on the N64, such as shadowman, but fortunately not very many, and non of the N64 only ones. I think its due to poor convertion to the N64. In shadowman the control is based on tomb raider, when they could have made us of the analogue stick.

Let's hope the gamecube doesn't get loading times. I don't think they will. Does anyone have any idea about this?

yeah i got really annoyed with Smackdown 2. it took so long loading, loading the game, loading the character, loading the match, loading the music. it took ages and when i finally got into the match, i thought yeah lets go backstage. and guess what? it had to load! the game wasnt all that anyway. No mercy is better in my opinion.

Playstations have some good games but what really spoils the game is a 10 minute loading time, once it has loaded you just can't be bothered to play it and so have spend time doing nothing. A N64 doesn't load up, which is really good because you can get right into the game.

I know the N64 doesn't have to load, that is the good thing about it.
