Ronald Reagan died this evening aged 93. I realise most of you are too young to remember him as president of the U.S. and some of you werent even born when he lfet office, but still it's sad to hear of his death, he wasn't a bad President.

R.I.P. Ronald Reagan.

What I don't understand is that all the newspapers are saying how he beat the commies. But he did nothing, he worsened relations.

He tried Zero Option, which failed.
He abandoned SALT II after Russia invaded Afghanistan.
Both sides boycotted the olympics.
Cruise Missiles were deployed in Europe.
US grain stopped being sent to USSR.

The reason communism collapsed in Europe was that the standard of living in the Western World was so much higher than the communism side, and that the economy couldn't support the competition against the USA for missiles and weapons.

250 million men didn't die in WWII.

I'm very, very sure of that.

[Edit]

Damn, misread.

I didn't think it was 50 million, though, still.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
