"Spyware? This is strange"

OK for the last few days i havent been on any abnormal sites, only Yahoo, SR etc, havent been on the net much, but for some reason when i came on the net today, my Homepage was changed to something weird. Anyway i changed it to my normal homepage, which then works, but i keep getting pornographic adverts etc coming up, which i dont think should be. I've run Ad-aware which found 53 new objetcs which were promptly deleted, but this one still keeps coming up. Any ideas on how to get rid of it, other spyware tools etc? Cheers...

Finally after 3 scans and a reboot, it all seems to be gone... for now...

Any chance that your homepage was set to Blaze something? That's quite a common one apparently, I've had it a few times. At the moment until you can work out where it's come from I think you'll have to rely on Ad-aware or equivalent.

Just scanned it again, and another 21 items have been found....

[EDIT] Make that 175, It looks like i only scanned the registry the first time hopefully the one containing all the ads. But 132 of them are files, so hopefully the stuff has been gotten rid of... *crosses fingers*
