Exeter Uni. Aside from the fact we don't have many machines, we have pretty good stuff. Personally, I try to avoid netscape. Seems to be like IE, only much less reliable, supportive of fewer CSS features, and with several other annoying features.
Oh, but it supports the tag, doesn't it? ;)

nope, i'm on deepblue at the end of the bed, next to the fish tank.. abyss is under the desk (with the monitor on top, logically) and greybox is in the corner, being quiet and hosting and masquerading, and generally being a good little box. it doesn't have a keyboard / monitor. it hasn't done for about 20 days, still getting good uptime on it :)

Netscape is just generally b0rked. Get mozilla (.org) or use lynx like me ;)

There is, however, a way to fix the netscape font issues. It's in the Font Deuglification HOWTO. Search on www.linuxdoc.org :)

What uni would that be? sounds like a good place, no M$...

I've visited these forums using netscape on a linux machine a few times. I'm not sure if it's liinux or Netscape, but the font size is about 3 pixels high...

I'm not sure why my Uni insists on not installing any microsoft products. Perhaps it's similar to the reason I refuse to purchase a Sony console?

Oh, and by the way, it's a cyrix p150+, not a 486. That's sitting in the corner serving my websites..

lewq was around posting at 3:06am yesterday...as I said, he cant come on tonight, he's using a text-only web browser on a linux console, and using a forum in Lynx is painful. I've tried.
