I think you will have to agree this is Redditch, and it is rough there, etc.
I think this is a great idea, unfortunately the majority of the people in Redditch wont.

EDIT: Reading over the article again. I see what a bad idea this is, it boils back down to the 'Invasion Of Privacy' argument. Although Redditch does have a problem with Violence and the like, it should be tackled in other ways.

I'll have to start carrying my letter round, then: I have a letter from my doctor stating that, while she doesn't condone it, she is aware that I use certain substances for "pain management".

instead of spending the money on more security or surveillance systems to catch dealers as they sell the stuff, they're going to test every single person to see if they have any drugs in their system?

I can tell you now, it'll be a very high percentage that test positive, and newsflash - not all drug takers are violent criminals.

that's a constructive use of £30,000.

and just because you have injested drugs in the past couple of days, doesn't mean you

a) have any on you
b) have any intention of buying any
c) intend to sell any
