I am getting a Gamecube. Of course because of my trust that Nintendo and Rare will deliver once again but don’t go thinking that I didn’t have a good look at the Playstation 2 and X-box before I made my decision.

No you see what persuaded me to get Nintendo’s up and coming box of tricks is the fact that the Gamecube is a “games machine”. Nintendo have tried to emphasise the point that everything the system is capable to do is so it can play the best games possible.

The X-box is a PC with an emphasis on gaming whilst the Playstation 2 is system that plays music, DVD’s and on top of that plays games. The Gamecube though is a system that plays Games. A System that plays games is why I’m getting a games console. DVD and music players are something that just gets in the way of making a decision on which console I’d rather get.

As the insides of the Gamecube has been especially designed to play the best games, with the shortest loading times and making them easy to be made. I’m not saying the Playstation 2 and X-box is bad but as they are built to do more than play games then it isn’t something I want.

Games are why I buy consoles. If I want to buy a system that plays music then I’ll buy a CD player and if I want a DVD player then I’ll get one. So if I want a games console then I’ll get a games console so that is why I’m getting a Gamecube.

Sorry, that didn't make any sense.

The handle was a surprise to me at first, but then I thought to myself, "Hey, it's better to be safe than sorry".
In other words, if I had a handle to carry it around with me it wouldn't full out of my hands and brake on the floor.

The handle will come in great use to me because I often take my console around my mates house. Also, I change where it is in the house as well. One day it will be in my bedroom, the next in the bathroom. Well, not the bathroom but you know what I mean! :D

Anyway, even if it does look ugly (which it doesn’t) look doesn’t matter that much. Yes it’s nice to have an attractive console next to your TV but that’s not all what makes up a console.

I too think that the Gamecube looks good. Just because it's colourful, don't mean to say it looks childish (which is what so many people think). It is small and compact, and it is just lovely to look at. Anyone who thinks the PS2 looks better, I suggest you have your head checked :-)

its got a handle for gods sake, not very cool looking i think.

I think it looks better than a PS2 though, i think it looks like a old video player or somthing.

If I hear another person say that i'll scream.

It is carry handle

Playstations break alot due to dropping it Although Nintendo has gone to great lengths to stop it breaking a Carry handle so it is easier to hold happens to be one of them. It is the size of 10 CD's stacked up so carrying it from place to place isn't a bad idea.
