Better than Neo's boring transfers thread, this topic aims to get posts where people put up who they would like their club to go for and possibly a description why. Relatively serious to your clubs limitations, or completely fanciful if you don't have a grip on reality :)

yeah gronks was on for 1.2. but its gone up quite a bit. Apparently there are a number of bidders.

Gronkjaer was going to Birmingham for around a million. Forsell is better than Earnshaw, but Ambromovich doesn't want him. Anyways money is nothing to him, so he'd let him go for cheap.
If he was at Man United or Arsenal, then he'd probably be something like 10 million.

Gronkjaer was going to Birmingham for around a million. Forsell is better than Earnshaw, but Ambromovich doesn't want him. Anyways money is nothing to him, so he'd let him go for cheap.

i can't see him parting with cash unless it's a defender though. possibly a central mid.

i am more concerned about geting rid of deadwood, as we have to many players so there isn't enough consistency in the starting line up.
I'd cut quite a few.
there's no point in taking in high standard players when realistically we can have the best if the cheque is right. I'd bid for:
Gerrard: prob 25/30mill bit of a silly pricebut worth it as lampard gerrard would be awesome.
Joaquin: 15 millish we need a quality young right sider.
Ronaldo: 25 mill/30- A fairly likely target for the summer, give real the money and they'll probably take it or maybe take crespo in part exchange. (ronaldinho the other option)
Chivu: 13 mill quality versaille back.
with the exception of ronaldo they are all young. All of them world class. Now we have a brilliant squad already i see no point in bidding for anything but the potential best. I'd rather spend 80 millish on these 4 than buy another 8 or 9 players.

Yeah I'm a big fan of Van Der Vaart. But I couldn't see him fitting into our team....
My top choices would be
SC - Fernando Torres
DF - Carlos Puyol
DF - Phillipe Mexes
ML - Van der Vaart
then the really hopeful one of the God that is Ronaldinho. He and Ronaldo would be all that's ever on the showboat (well apart from Jay Jay of course :-D)
