Joey is hilarious because he's so stupid. And Chandler's sarcasm is great too. Ross is funny because he is girly. Monica's good because she's so immature in a way, but Rachel and Phoebe are the worst. Phoebe's humor is just soooo poor (eg. "He's a lobster" - not funny...).

There's no doubt that Friends IS funny, my favourite being Chandler. He's a sarcastic person, like myself. But Friends isn't all about comedy, it's interesting to follow the stories as well. Plus, you really need to have watched Friends from the very beginning to understand parts of the story, and even some of the jokes.
Tis quite funny, not something i'd try to watch every week not to miss an episode, but, alot of people say phoebe is the funniest and ross isn't funny at all.

Friends is THE most overrated hyped up American toss.
I've seen it a few times when my sister has been watching it, and I fail to laugh a single time. The canned laughter plays after every single line, funny or not, it's just terrible, and the characters are just SO BLOODY ANNOYING.
The only funny bits are from Joey because he's obviously slightly retarded, oh and the fact that there aren't going to be any more is also hilarious.

The six characters all turned 30 at some point in series... seven, I think.
What doesn't agree with me is the fact they're all 40somthing year olds playing people in their late twenties.

I think the episode you mention, with Joey not sharing food and Ross ending up wearing the same clothes as his date, was by far the best one of series ten.
It did have its good points, but compare it to any episode from series one, for example, and the difference is appaling.
