The anthology is coming out on 31st August 2004 in softback at most large bookshops.
The poem, which I've posted here before, is called Politics:
Damned by dreams that emasculate, whichever thoughts grow fond
A ritual that once grew great, before the broken bonds
Elevated past darkened doubt. Tattooed by streetlight fraud
The taxman knocks, reasons without. Civilian levy duly stored
Forgetting sinful syntax, forging sentences of stealth
Intricately evading tax and procuring piles of wealth.
To save their seats politicians lie, give bribes they don’t resent
With starving hunger babies cry
Whilst income tax is sorely spent
Witness wily officials in their Jaguars
Diamonds nested in wife’s ears
Then see taxpayers in economy cars
They saved for years and years
Will no one break the circle of lies
And do the country a favour
Recall the day democracy died
The birthday of New Labour
If you happen to see a copy of the book, do buy it, the money all goes into publishing more work by unrecognised poety and authors.
If you want a copy of the book signed, just post me it. :-)
Oof!
Including my own, which I despise with a passion.
I did that, and apparently my poem is being published too.
Even though it licked balls.

Something like that, i got a letter through the post with my poem on it which it asked me to initial and return. There was also a leaflet asking me if i wanted to order a copy of the "coffee table" edition book.
I didnt bother returning it though.

It's been published whether I buy an anthology or not
They've sent me a copy of my poem back to anotate and make any last minute corrections before it is published (which I think shows that they are bothered about the quality of the poems). It also specifically said the poems are chosed based on merit, not whether you're going to buy a copy of the anthology or not (I'm probably not).
I was rather dubious at first but I dont see the harm in getting published and not spending any cash. It can sit comfortably on my C.V too.
And surely you mean 'chosen'?
