So yesterday i agree to do a shift tonight to cover some woman who didn't turn up for her shift yesterday.
So i get ready for work, get the bus all the way there wondering why i agreed to do it and she is already there!!

Fee: Hours wage in taxi there and back
I was meant to be working but my boss decided to swap shifts and not tell me.
So I had 2 hours sleep, got ready for work, wasted two hours wage on taxis and had to work the next morning.

They legally have to pay for travel expenses.
They should compensate you for your waste of travel/time, you would probabaly have to kick up a fuss. I would, you might even get a free wine bottle or something :)
