It's the most famous race on the F1 calendar and it's the next stop for the F1 circus. The Monaco Grand Prix. It's been a tight season as we enter Round 7, with 6 different winners of the first 6 races and everyone still conceivably in with a shot at becoming World Champion.

In qualifying, Alonso in the Renault took pole position with a lap record time and only fractionally ahead of the Minardi of Verstappen. Out of the main challengers this year, Button got 10th on the grid, Pizzonia 18th. Villeneuve 4th and Ralf Schumacher 16th.
The race was typical Monaco, one mistake and you're in the wall. Two drivers suffered that fate, Verstappen and Panis.
