But we have the choice whether we take it though, right?

As theyre the same question, i put them together, I get the feeling we are, although i dont think all of us are here for ourselves, some of us just seem to be pawns who are only around to affect others.
Your beliefs depend on who you want to blame for your life, did i mess up or was it someone else ?

This is going to contradict what i said on the previous question, but i think the path chooses the walker to an exstent, certain things that happen are out of your control, it's how you deal with everthing else that chooses your final destination.
Multiple roads with an occasional one way sign.

You know ive still got no idea and it doesnt matter, if it's all sorted then there is nothing i can do, if not i'm just going to try and get on as best as i can.

Your choice may just be an illusion. whether we know is irrelevant.

We all have free-will, God can intervene, but will never disturb our free-will.
But, of course, that isn't real. It's hard to know what to know and what NOT to know. So, I don't really know about this...
Although, I do believe we have Choices (something else from The Matrix) - whether we already know the descision we are going to make, or not.
I fail to see how even "God" alone could have the power to detemrine all, once the wheels are set in motion, mind... I mean, what when the world finaly draws towards its inevitable end? For all he's worked on, all he's created, will he do all he can in his power to stop it?
Will he just let nature take its course?
HE has the Choice...
For example, say there was a horrific train crash with only one survivor, some people might say "It wasnt his time" or perhaps "He was saved by fate". Regardless i will tell you why he survived, he occupied a space in the carriage which was not in danger from flying debris or fire or lightning bolts from god or satan.
