....and it's brilliant. The handling is way better than I thought. It's perfect. Best game for a long time. Wonder if I was the first to play it here.

I'm 1.1% in. Yay. I've got both National A and B licenses, and I've got two challenges left to get the International B license. I've got gold on all of the Sunday Cup, and 2/5 gold on the FF Challenge.

Thats one of the things that annoys me about the GT series, you have to play for ages to get some decent cars.

For me I tend to spend most of the time playing against other folk, don't want to spend ages doing tests and driving crap cars just to get some decent cars for the 2 player.

See there is a disk available that will give you unlimited cash, all the tracks and licences.

These early stages of this game are seriously off-putting. It is a real chore driving some of these cars. I will endure it though, hopefully it will be worth it.

Managed to play it today. Got gold on all the National B tests and got 3 cars. A Lupo, a Mazda Kusabi and a Honda S500 1963. The Mazda handles pretty good I think.

All these PS2 games can be played online using Xlink Kai software (you download the software and run it on your PC, it fools your PS2 into thinking that the internet is just one big LAN):

Armored Core: Nexus
ATV Offroad Fury 2
Colin McRae Rally 2005
DTM Race Driver 2
Gran Turismo 4
IndyCar Series 2005
Midnight Club 2
Project Snowblind
SOCOM II: US Navy Seals
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Star Wars: Battlefront
TimeSplitters 2
Tony Hawk's Underground
Twisted Metal Black Online

And if any PS2 games come out in future that support LAN play, they can usually work with XLink too.

I think they might be using the Xbconnect of the Ps2 world.

Been reading on forums people getting it online. Not tried it myself, too much hassle having to turn my chip off

Managed to get Gran Turismo 4 online a few hours ago and have been racing another RX7 through New York ever since, great stuff :)

If anyone else is thinking using XLink Kai Evolution 7 software to turn the internet into a LAN you can http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=quickstart to find out all about it.
