Some strange choices there. What are your opinions/views on Sven's squad for Euro 2004?

Eh? When have I not given an open-minded view? I didn't say Joe Cole would start. I said he should be in the squad. Anyone can see he is a very skillfull and talented player....
1- Why isn't James Beattie included? He is a better and more consistent forward than Smith and Heskey, and he deserves his chance. Unlike Heskey, whose England record is rather poor, even though he does play as a left winger occasionally.
2- Lack of Alan Thompson. The best left winger we have and he isn't even on standby. He's far superior to Phil Neville, Frank Lampard, Emile Heskey or Keiran Dyer on the left flank and he's had a good season. I don't know why he's not included, but the fact he's based in scotland and rarely observed may be a reason.

Southgate is injured, but Parker should certainly be in for Butt. Certainly.

Hmmm, am i the only one who's fed up of this biased posting? You're only saying this because you support Leicester. Which is the same with Colourless and Joe Cole, who i think for what it's worth is'nt in the top 6 England midfielders in the country so wont play anyway.
Let's try giving a neutral and balanced view.....give it go.

I totally agree with you.

What? Did you seem any of him in that Leeds game?
It's just that I think taking him, means someone like Southgate or Smith has to miss out, when Walker probably wont make the bench most games...
> Butt, Walker, King out
Why Walker out?
I bet it's for them few mistakes he has made, but if anything them mistakes have made him and stronger person and in my eyes England's number one! :P
