Microsoft have undoubtedly done an excellent job at bringing online gaming to consoles. Now that they have the set-up in place they really need to work on the standards of the online games available. 90% of the games this generation have been an utter load of rubbish or a short lived waste of money.
They also need to remember that some people still prefer to play offline and not center their strategy totally around online gaming.
It's all well and good having pretty stats, but if the game they're attached to is a load of ass then what good are they?
If that's what they want the future of gaming to be, fair play to them.
But thats BS.
Havng custom sountracks to every game as standard sounds good, even if the developer looses a bit of control it's nice that the purchaser makes the final choice whether to have the games music or their own.
Quite like the thing they said about buying a unique car for $0.99, not a major thing but it's a nice option especially for people who want to define themselves online - could produce some real characters.
'Self expression'
Aha.
Ahahaha.
Oh dear. It's all 'you get to choose your cars looks, you get to buy stuff from fat geek #78325, and you get to see what Jumping n00b from Texas got on Halo 3 last night!!11, and what his favourite drink is!'
I'm sure there'll be lots of cool stuff on Xbox 2. But this is hardly a thing I'm going to go insane over. It just annoys me.
